2020 Purlieu Platt Chardonnay

The dynamic citrus- and mineral-driven 2020 Platt Vineyard Chardonnay was fermented half in concrete eggs and half in neutral oak casks. Elegant notes of toasted brioche, magnolia flowers and restrained French oak leap from the glass. On the palate, golden apples and saline notes of preserved lemon shine with fresh citrus acidity above a limestone bass line. Full and supple textures carry the wine through a clean, mineral finish softened by gentle orchard fruit and baking spice.
