High on the top of Pritchard Hill, the iron-rich red soils of Martinez Vineyard produce wines with power, depth and nuance. The nose offers cool black fruit aromas with a layer of delicate honeysuckle. In the mouth, sweet black and purple fruits weave extraordinary harmonies with notes of rocky minerality and leather, while dried tobacco and fragrant orange zest punctuate the chords with added complexity. Built to last with well-structured tannins, this wine takes its time on the finish with satisfying notes of caramelized plum.
